Time sure flies, I can’t believe that it is Amber’s last year of middle school and Carli’s last year of elementary school!  The older they get the faster times seems to go! The first day was great for everyone, Amber is happy with her classes and Carli and Nick both love their teachers.

Even though everyone was excited to return to school and see all their friends there are some things we will miss about summer.

Sleeping in…….the kids have become quit good at it!  I remember I looked forward to naptime and getting them to lay down was the hard part, now I am always trying to wake them up! Carli is still our early bird but they all sleep much later, and stay up much later then they used to.

Summer basketball and golf…. Carli and Nick both played basketball and had great teams!  I don’t have any action shots of Carli because I coach her team but this free throw Nick is shooting was nothin’ but net.   Amber and Nick also golfed once a week with Grandfather for Golf.  They had great time and we are actually going to try and continue through the school year this year.

Fun, relaxing time with friends…..this is the whole group at Soak City.  Out last hurrah before heading back to school! 3 moms and 14 kids…what an exciting day!

Now it is back to reality and a busy school schedule.  Friday night football games, softball games for Carli, flag football for Nick and golf for Amber!  Never a dull moment!

Gene Goins Golf Tournament 2009

We spent two days in Pahrump for the Gene Goins Memorial Tournament.  It was hot, but as always a hit with the kids!  Not only do the get to win great trophies, but they get to be spoiled rotten by Grandpa and Grandma.

It just happen to work out great and be the same week as Vacation Bible School at the church, so Carli and Nick got to attend with the cousins and Amber got to help out.  Jason and I also had a little getaway to Vegas. :)

Mineer Family Reunion

banner For the first time the Mineer Reunion was held outside of Utah, we had a wonderful time in Avila Beach with the more than 70 Mineers'!

group 1

Judy did such great job of organizing, from the accommodations and meals to the non-stop fun activities!  The kids had a great time (how could they not with all those second cousins to play with!) on the beach building sand castles and boogie boarding! The adults enjoyed golf, relaxing, great food, and even better company!

One of the traditions of the Mineer Family Reunions is the Talent Show.  There is a lot of talent in this family:  cloggers, magicians, and entertainers of all sorts!

Nick told some great jokes…….DSCN1232

and Carli amazed the family with a story.

A huge thank you to Judy for all her hard work and to Grandma Dorthy for starting this all and her generosity! gma d close up

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…

I know that it is a little early for Christmas songs but we have been singing this one because Nick lost both his front teeth in the last 2 days!
